In this role, you'll:
Work as part of a team delivering procurement expertise, strategic sourcing, category planning and end‐to‐end procurement leadership to meet organisational and customer objectives across a complex, high‐value portfolio in the Direct Procurement and Minor Construction team.
This role will support the new leadership team of Direct Procurement and Minor Construction Hub through the transformation program. This role will see you add purpose through providing assistance to the leadership team through, overseeing governance, analysing markets and innovation trends, and ensuring value for money outcomes through the procurement process and management of executive communications and process development for Direct Procurement and Minor Construction.
You will lead, navigate and build improved service delivery, efficiencies and compliant procurement practices, in a commercially sensitive, time‐pressured and stakeholder‐diverse environment where policy, markets and organisational needs evolve rapidly.
This is a fixed-term opportunity for up to 20 months based at our Parramatta office.

About you
Your strong analytical capability, commercial acumen, communication skills and stakeholder management expertise—formed across government procurement, category management, commercial environments or large complex organisations—will see you excel in leading sourcing activities, providing expert advice, resolving complex issues and overcoming challenges such as diverse stakeholder expectations and the need for best practice compliance in a rapidly changing procurement environment.
You will bring the strategic thinking, problem solving discipline and governance mindset required to lead to effective procurement strategies, improved supplier arrangements, robust risk management and strong project outcomes.
You're recognised as ethical and influential, skilled at negotiating, advising, analysing markets, and designing procurement strategies, and experienced in delivering complex procurement, managing category portfolios, navigating NSW Government procurement frameworks, and driving performance across multi stakeholder environments.
