Our client works across multiple industries and is Australia's largest primary manufacturer of garments in this space. They provide a commitment to combine têxtiles and technology to solve design problems and enhance the performance and wearability of all items.

**The Role**:
The Payroll Manager is responsible of management to ensure the accurate execution of the payroll process and timely delivery of associated outcomes. This must be done in accordance with applicable Federal and State legislation, regulations and awards.

The Payroll Department forms an integral part of the Human Resources function, providing payroll solutions that support the day-to-day remuneration and advantages schemes within all divisions Australia wide & New Zealand.

**_ This role is a part-time position, initially requiring 3 days/week and can be done from either Northern suburbs Melbourne, Bendigo or Canberra offices._**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Payroll management: new starters and timecards are entered correctly and processed on time.
- Completion of leave & superfund calculations and processing.
- Compliance with Awards, contract agreements and employment standards.
- Train and guide managers in all pay related queries and assist HR in pay related functions when needed.
- Ensure all payroll system updates are and rate increases are actioned and accurate.
- Execution of month end reporting including submission of tax and all legal requirements for Australia and New Zealand.
- Manage all End of Financial Year legislative requirements of Annual Payroll Tax Reconciliation across VIC, NSW, QLD & ACT and NZ and Work Cover Actual Ratable Remuneration Declaration & Estimate ensuring all payments are reconciled and successfully submitted to the related party by deadline.

**Experience & Qualifications needed**:

- Bachelor of Business or degree in Finance or Economics, desirable (not essential).
- 3-5 years' experience of high volume, multiple entity payroll processing.
- Australian & New Zealand Payroll (desirable).
- ELMO (desirable).
- Other Payroll platforms including implementation experience e.g. iChris & HR21.
- Experience in the management of Employee Benefits e.g. Novate Leases, Salary Sacrifice Superannuation etc.
- Australian payroll legislation including Awards, EA's, Workers Compensation, Payroll Tax, PAYG, NES, Superannuation.
- New Zealand payroll legislation including IEA's, IRD Tax, Kiwi Saver, ACC.
- Intermediate to advanced usage of ELMO or other Payroll software.
- Ability to communicate with all Employee levels including Management.
- Previous experience in managing payroll department including managing & mentoring payroll staff.
- Mathematical Competency.
- Current national Police Check.
