About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Legal Officer or Law Graduate to join our in-house Legal Department on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role is ideal for a recent law graduate or early-career legal professional looking to build their experience in a fast-paced, dynamic, commercial in-house environment. You’ll be involved in a variety of legal tasks that support the day-to-day operations of the business, while working closely with a supportive and experienced legal team.
This is a full-time opportunity based on a 38-hour working week located at our Townsville Head Office.
About You
To be eligible to apply for this position you must demonstrate the following:
* Ability to produce monthly reports required by the legal team
* Experience with conducting evidence gathering for regulatory inquiries, AFCA complaints, litigation or audits, including the collation and categorisation of evidence as required.
* Ability to format and proof documents prepared by the legal team, including preparation of template correspondence and drafting of internal legal updates.
* Experience in reviewing and updating legal templates and precedents as well as management of template and precedent base
* Assisting with litigation administration tasks
* Diploma in Paralegal studies or a legal related undergraduate degree
* A high level of computer literacy, accuracy and attention to detail
* Experience working in a Financial Institution (desirable)
