As our industrial and fabrication workload continues to grow—particularly across Curtis Island LNG operations—we are seeking qualified Sheet Metal Workers (First Class) to join our team, with additional opportunities for experienced Cryogenic Laggers / Insulators.
Sheet Metal Worker – First Class (Primary Focus)
You will be involved in both workshop fabrication and site installation, delivering high-quality outcomes on major industrial projects, including works at Curtis Island LNG sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret and work from technical drawings, isometrics, and specifications
* Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components (stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium)
* Operate workshop equipment safely (folders, guillotines, rollers, etc.)
* Coordinate with supervisors, project teams, and other trades
* Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and productivity
Cryogenic Laggers / Insulators (Secondary Focus)
* Install cryogenic and thermal insulation on piping, vessels, and equipment
* Work with materials such as Pyrogel, Cryogel, Foamglass, rockwool, and cladding systems
* Perform pre-fabrication and on-site installation works
* Follow strict safety and quality procedures in high-risk industrial environments

Requirements
For Sheet Metal Workers (First Class):
* Recognised Sheet Metal Trade Qualification
* Proven experience in industrial fabrication and site work
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings independently
* Strong safety mindset and positive team attitude
For All Applicants:
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and drug & alcohol screening
* Gladstone-based applicants.
* White Card (Construction Induction) – Essential
* Confined Space, Working at Heights, and other relevant site tickets – Essential
* Blue Medipass or willingness to obtain
* Experience working on industrial or construction sites
