What You'll Do
* Design & Build at Scale: Work closely with senior engineers and the tech lead to design, build, and evolve our serverless, event‐driven systems.
* Own It End‐to‐End: Execute independently without continuous managerial oversight. Translate functional requirements into maintainable code and handle complex edge cases independently.
* Applied AI Integration: Help automate manual processes by integrating AI/LLM & ML.NET models to handle our highly sophisticated product import and enrichment routines. A keen interest in prompt engineering and LLM platforms is key.
* Polyglot Persistence: Work with large datasets and pick the absolute best database for the job across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MSSQL.
* Operational Health: Participate deeply in operational health, taking responsibility for resolving production issues and occasionally supporting older ASP.NET MVC services.
What You'll Bring
* Typically 2‐5 years of experience as a highly proficient workhorse of a team.
* Strong experience with the .NET stack, especially C#, ASP.NET Core, building REST APIs, and working with Entity Framework Core.
* A track record of making smart trade‐offs and consistently choosing solutions that deliver optimal business impact for the effort invested.
* The ability to write clean, testable code that builds implicit trust with code reviewers.
* You must comfortably navigate moderate ambiguity, taking slightly vague requirements and driving them to completion.
Bonus Points
* Experience with ML.NET or Python is a huge plus.
* Exposure to LLM platforms, prompt engineering, machine learning model training concepts, Vector DBs, and large datasets.
* Front‐end experience, ideally with React in production environments and SSR via Next.JS.
* Familiarity with AWS services (ECS, SageMaker, SQS, SNS, DocumentDB).
