About the role:
This position reports directly to the Head of Planning and Scheduling at Keolis Downer Northern Beaches.
The primary focus of the role is to develop Bus Network Plans and designs that align with contract specifications, adhere to the enterprise agreement, and respond effectively to customer demand.
To be eligible for this opportunity you will have:
Mandatory:
* Experience in a Transport Scheduling role.
* Knowledge and experience in scheduling software HASTUS.
Knowledge & Experience
* Knowledge of Public transport operations and service planning.
* Experience in network planning and asset allocation across complex businesses.
* Background in the public transport industry, particularly buses.
* Strong analytical and research skills.
* Ability to estimate and meet work timeframes.
* Demonstrated teamwork on complex issues.
* Capability of working under pressure.
* Highly skilled Microsoft office and Power BI.
Responsibilities:
* The focus of this role is to deliver optimized network plans and designs that align with our business's commercial, legal, contractual specifications, complying with the enterprise agreement and meeting customer demand.
* Responsible for the streamline of network services and design, which includes conducting time analysis, assessing reliability metrics, and generating reports, as well as developing shifts and rosters.
* The position ensures the efficient and effective utilization of resources and assets, thereby guaranteeing a reliable, suitable, and enhance network.
* Work closely with team members and other teams to find ways to improve services, review performance reports, identify the root causes of issues, and help develop and implement plans to address these issues.
* Assess outcomes against key performance indicators (KPIs) and discuss any forthcoming network changes.
* Improve the functionality of HASTUS and associated databases.
