The role of a library assistant is multifaceted and requires strong organisational and technical skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other staff members, to ensure the smooth operation of the library and information services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake accessioning of learning resources acquired by the school, including periodicals and equipment
* Prepare cataloguing entries, including assigning additional subject headings in consultation with specialist teaching staff for selected library materials
* Collaborate with other staff to ensure the accurate entry of assets into the library catalogue
The successful applicant will be required to hold a Working with Children Blue Card and be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education.
