Job Title: Rural Youth Mental Health Support Worker
About the Role:
The Rural Youth Mental Health (RYMH) team is seeking an experienced Social Worker, Psychologist, or Case Manager to provide individualized, holistic, and collaborative mental health support to young people aged 12-25 across Western NSW. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with young people to develop positive working relationships, identify goals, and create individualized plans to support their mental health recovery journey.
Duties:
* Develop strong relationships with young people to ensure their active engagement in the mental health recovery process.
* Collaborate with other service providers, government departments, schools, health services, GPs, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive services.
* Link young people to relevant services to provide holistic supports and facilitate recovery.
* Contribute to and participate actively in a small and supportive team environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience supporting young people experiencing mental health challenges.
* Experience working in rural communities and ability to develop and maintain community connections.
* Holistic, person-centered approach with a calm, reassuring, and confident manner.
* Relevant degree qualification in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other related field.
* Demonstrated ability to provide outreach supports and well-developed travel and time management skills.
