**About Us**
SG Bakery are a family owned and run bakery that specialise in delicious homemade cakes, sandwiches, Vietnamese food and pastries. We are currently seeking a baker to join our team with a passion for the trade and a drive to produce a consistent product for our loyal customers.
As a Baker, who will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Designing, testing, and refining new and existing recipes to improve product quality and variety.
- Monitoring the proofing process of breads and pastries to ensure optimal rise and texture.
- Baking bread, pastries, and other items according to specific recipes and product requirements.
- Accurately measuring and combining ingredients using mixers, blenders, ovens, and other baking equipment.
- Adjusting oven temperatures and baking times to ensure proper cooking and consistency.
- Preparing a variety of fillings and components for baked goods (e.g., chocolate ganache, caramel sauces, fruit fillings).
- Decorating and presenting finished baked goods in a visually appealing manner.
- Conducting quality checks to ensure ingredients and final products meet food safety and quality standards.
- Shaping dough to prepare various pastries including croissants, cookies, and sweet rolls.
- Preparing customised baked goods based on customer specifications, including specialty and celebration cakes.
- Interacting with customers by greeting, answering inquiries, taking orders, providing recommendations, and processing payments.
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory, deliveries, production schedules, and customer orders.
- Coordinating delivery schedules and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Upholding a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment, including general bakery cleaning duties.
- Complying with all health, safety, and workplace hygiene procedures.
- Ensuring all food safety standards and product specifications are consistently met.
- Performing other reasonable duties within the scope of a qualified Baker as required from time to time.

- Experience with cake decoration techniques

- Be competent in all aspects of baking
- Having a sound knowledge of dough types, including sourdough
- Possess strong work ethics
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking

**Salary**: $75,000pa + superannuation
Working hours: approx 38 hours per week
Location: Helensvale QLD 4212
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
