Your new role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's ambitious growth agenda. You will be responsible for developing and executing regional growth strategies, capturing new leads, and winning existing opportunities in a long lead cycle.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading the tender process and managing towage and berth licence applications.
* Developing customer value propositions, including strategy, solution development, pricing of services, proposal submission, and internal approvals.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, with a focus on the resource and energy industries.
* Creating and maintaining an overview of both short- and long-term opportunities.
* Ensuring the development of accurate and comprehensive business cases and investment memos.
* Facilitating the development of unique value propositions rooted in customers' needs and key requirements.
* Upholding governance, trade practice, and competition compliance requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
* A solid track record in business development and tender management, with more than 5 years of experience.
* Strong project management skills and the ability to lead and structure complex growth projects.
* In-depth financial knowledge and analytical skills, with experience in producing investment appraisal models and business case memos.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* The flexibility to travel interstate and to regional ports and operations.
* A relevant Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
* High energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and cross-border teams.
