Our client is a well-established engineering and fabrication company that provides high quality products to their clients. They are looking for a full-time skilled and experienced Engineering Technologist to join their dynamic team. You will be working as part of a friendly team to produce high-quality products. Your role will include analyzing and modifying new and existing engineering technologies for engineering projects.
Responsibilities
* Assisting in the design and engineering of fabrication products
* Using CAD software to create technical drawings and specifications
* Working with production teams to ensure the feasibility of designs in manufacturing
* Providing technical support for internal teams, assisting in the resolution of various engineering-related issues
* Using Microsoft 365 and other technical software for engineering and communication processes
* Assisting in material selection for fabrication
* Evaluating production processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
* Ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
* Conducting testing and analysis
* Investigating product failures and recommending design improvements
* Assisting in project planning and coordination
* Researching and recommending new materials or design improvements
* Preparing technical reports, manuals, and documentation for products and processes
* Ensuring compliance with local and building codes/structural codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
* Providing technical advice to clients
* Assisting the sales and marketing teams with product knowledge and specifications
Qualifications
* Skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification
* At least 1 year of experience working as an engineering technologist or similar occupation
* Problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
* Ability to work in a team
Compensation
You will be paid between $75,000-$80,000 p.a. + superannuation
