Salary: MP Year 1-7 $139,932 - $186,790 p.a. (inclusive of base salary, 11.5% superannuation effective from 1 July 2024, and professional development allowance)

This is a recruitment pool for 2025 fixed-term full-time appointments for 18 months, with the possibility of extension(s).
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 01/09/2025.
Position Profile
If you are interested in providing anaesthetics as part of your rural or remote medical practice, this role offers experience and training to enable accreditation as a Rural Generalist Anaesthetist. It has been accredited by ANZCA for completing the AC-RGA.
The role involves working in Busselton Health Campus Anaesthetics for 6 months, Bunbury Hospital Anaesthetics for 6 months, and Bunbury Hospital Intensive Care for 6 months. This provides exposure to various areas of anaesthetic practice, including paediatrics, obstetrics, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, general surgery, and more.
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to rural or remote medicine. The team includes 16 consultants and 3 registrars, offering ample opportunities for quality anaesthetic practice. The successful applicant should be motivated, organized, and adaptable to a flexible working environment.
About the Pool
Joining the anaesthesia trainee pool means submitting one application for consideration at Bunbury and Busselton Hospitals at WA Country Health Service (WACHS). Applicants will participate in an interview to assess suitability. Applications will be evaluated in 2-3 rounds until the closing date on Monday, 23 June 2025.
Success Criteria
Must be a fellow or enrolled in training with RACGP or ACRRM.
Must demonstrate a clear commitment to rural and remote medicine.
Enrolment in the Rural Generalist Pathway of WA.
