Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to oversee all aspects of our satellite and terrestrial network solutions in Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, integration, optimization, and continuous improvement of our network systems, ensuring they meet client needs and global performance standards.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical oversight and assurance on key client projects across mining, energy, and defence sectors
* Collaborate with local engineering and support teams to embed best practices and ensure alignment with global standards
* Collaborate with AST's global product, engineering, and commercial teams to localise and tailor solutions for the Australian market
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Significant experience in communications engineering, network infrastructure, and/or satellite communications
* Proven capability in designing and managing resilient, high-availability systems in mission-critical environments
* Strong knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN), telecommunications protocols, and remote network management
* Exposure to high-security or defence-grade communications solutions is highly desirable
