Newcastle, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter NSW (Hybrid)
The Senior Lending Technology Lead enables NGM Group's Lending Transformation by driving the shift from a project‐centric approach to a sustainable, service‐based lending technology model.
Leading the Lending Transformation Hub, the role combines delivery leadership with technical stewardship to establish the structures, standards and governance needed to deliver reliable, high‐quality lending services across the customer lifecycle — from origination through to servicing and collections.
Operating with delegated solution architecture authority, the role ensures delivery is predictable, well‐governed and aligned to enterprise guardrails. While it does not own lending services, it uplifts them by setting clear standards, improving flow and embedding strong engineering and run practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery and technology enablement of the Lending Services Hub
* Establish the operating model, delivery cadence and governance to support a service‐based approach
* Drive integrated planning, dependency management and prioritisation across lending teams
* Partner with Service Owners and Product leaders to balance change, run and remediation
* Provide delegated solution architecture leadership within CTO guardrails
* Set and uplift engineering standards, DevSecOps practices and delivery ways of working
* Improve run reliability, including SLOs, incident management and resilience
* Identify, manage and escalation delivery and technical risks appropriately
* Provide clear reporting on delivery health, risk and dependencies to senior leaders
* Coach delivery leads and technical leads, lifting capability and accountability
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to meet delivery outcomes
What we are looking for
You're a senior technology leader who is comfortable operating at the intersection of delivery, engineering and architecture, with a strong bias for action and continuous improvement. We're particularly keen to hear from people with:
* 8+ years' experience in enterprise technology, including multi‐team delivery leadership
* Demonstrated experience across lending platforms (origination, credit decisioning, servicing, collections)
* Experience in integration‐heavy, regulated environments
* Strong delivery leadership capability across planning, dependency management, risk and reporting
* Background as a senior software engineer, architect or principal engineer
* Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, quality engineering and operational readiness
* Proven ability to influence and lead through ambiguity and change
* Clear communication skills across technical and non‐technical audiences
* A coaching mindset, focused on uplifting teams and creating sustainable ways of working
