We're expanding and seeking an experienced Database Migration & Management Specialist to lead and execute database migrations across network zones or to Microsoft Azure.
This role involves ensuring database reliability, performance, and security while working collaboratively with cross‐functional teams. You will play a key role in optimising SQL environments, implementing best practices, and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and lead the migration of MS SQL databases to a new network zone within the data centre or to Microsoft Azure.
* Install, configure, and maintain database management systems.
* Develop and document procedures for database backup, restoration, and migration.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database migration and performance.
* Optimise and tune databases to ensure high availability and efficiency.
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver successful migration outcomes.
* Lead, mentor, and guide team members to ensure effective performance and quality delivery.
* Participate in technical discussions, contribute to decision‐making, and engage with multiple teams on key initiatives.
Requirements
* Strong proficiency in Database Migration across environments or cloud platforms.
* Expertise in Database Management, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
* Advanced skills in Database Optimisation & Performance Tuning.
* Ability to develop innovative strategies for database architecture, design, and implementation.
* Solid understanding of database security, including conducting regular audits, updates, and integrity checks.
* Ability to collaborate with cross‐functional teams to improve database performance and reliability.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support team members on database best practices.
* Commitment to staying current with emerging trends and technologies in database management and cloud platforms.
