Perioperative Cardiac Nursing Specialist
We are seeking an experienced and committed Registered Nurse to join the cardiac theatre team in a leading hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside skilled cardiac surgeons and healthcare professionals.
About the Role:
The Theatre RN within the Cardiac Surgery team will deliver high-quality perioperative care across all stages of cardiac surgical procedures. You will work in a state-of-the-art operating theatre and be actively involved in surgeries including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve repairs and replacements, and aortic surgery.
Main Responsibilities:
* Deliver safe and effective nursing care during cardiac surgical procedures
* Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and fellow nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
* Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to patient care planning
* Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in perioperative nursing, with cardiac theatre experience highly regarded
* Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice
