Job Title: Junior Insurance Lawyer
Job Responsibilities: The Junior Insurance Lawyer will be a key member of the expanding Insurance Team, primarily focusing on Workers' Compensation and Compulsory Third Party insurance claims.
Under the guidance and supervision of senior lawyers, the responsibilities include:
Drafting legal advice for clients
Assisting in managing client files
Attending hearings on behalf of clients
Conducting legal research and analysis
Liaising with clients, counsel, and experts
Conducting interviews with expert witnesses and other key potential witnesses to prepare the client's case
Drafting pleadings, affidavits, notices, chamber summons applications, and witness statements
Assisting with pro bono matters
Participating in a secondment to a Community Legal Centre or a similar institution
Education and Experience
This position is suitable for a newly admitted lawyer with up to two years of post-admission experience (PAE) in Western Australia.
The role is ideal for candidates with a keen interest in insurance work.
The candidate should possess:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new skills
