Offer description

An opportunity for an experienced Payroll assistant to join a high performing payroll team, providing accurate and timely payroll administration which supports the overall employee experience for this organisation based in Werribee.

The duties will include end to end administration of fortnight payroll processing for all employees via XERO including (but not limited to);
- Setting up new employees;
- Administering leave;
- Calculating back payments for various terminations types;
- Submitting final payroll journals to Payroll Manager for review and authorisation; and
- Administering superannuation payments, ensuring employee entitlements are up to date.
- Assisting all employees with payroll queries;
- Acting as payroll back-up to the fortnightly payroll processes (in the absence of payroll administrator/s);
- Assisting the Payroll Manager with month end and other payroll reporting;
- Generating relevant payroll documentation, including annual / quarterly bonus and salary review letters;
- Other payroll adhoc duties/ projects as required.
- Performing staff performance reviews on quarterly basis

**Profile**

To be considered for this wonderful opportunity you will meet the following criteria:

- Solid experience working in payroll teams for fast-paced, large organisations;
- Demonstrated experience in payroll administration and processes;
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills;
- Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions;
- Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information;
- Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments.
- Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- payroll: 1 year (preferred)
