Technical Field Service Role
This job is focused on providing high-quality technical support and maintenance services for electrical and mechanical automation systems across a range of customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform electrical and mechanical service, installation, and repair work on various equipment.
* Troubleshoot and modify PLCs, touchscreen interfaces, robotics, and servo systems.
* Utilize problem-solving skills to address mechanical issues and improve system performance.
* Read and interpret AutoCAD circuit and mechanical diagrams to recommend system improvements.
* Deliver training to customer personnel on proper operation and maintenance procedures.
* Complete detailed service reports, including fault diagnostics and part recommendations.
* Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and customers to deliver effective outcomes.
Requirements:
* A Grade Electrical License (mandatory).
* 5+ years of field service or maintenance experience in manufacturing, packaging, automation, or similar environments.
* Strong mechanical background or mechanical trade/technical skills highly regarded.
* Experience with PLCs, robotics, servo drives, pneumatics, or hydraulics.
* Excellent problem-solving ability, strong communication, and customer service skills.
* Flexibility to travel interstate (and occasionally internationally) as required.
