This is offered as a 12-month Maximum Contract opportunity.
Why PwC?
At PwC Australia, your skills meet purpose. We tackle big challenges across industries like finance, technology, energy, and health—giving you the chance to make a real impact. Here, your growth is our priority. You'll work with leading teams, explore new technologies, and unlock your full potential.
What you'll do
* Portfolio Governance & Coordination: Establish and maintain fit‐for‐purpose governance forums across the portfolio, acting as the central coordination point across programmes — providing the integrated view, challenge function, and escalation pathway that keeps the portfolio aligned and on track, without managing project delivery directly.
* Portfolio Reporting: Deliver portfolio‐level reporting for senior leadership forums, providing insight on thematic risks, trade‐offs, and areas requiring intervention.
* Portfolio‐Level RAID Management: Own and maintain a portfolio‐level RAID log; proactively escalate and coordinate resolution of systemic risks that no single programme can see or resolve in isolation.
* Benefits Realisation: Define and maintain the portfolio‐level benefits framework, ensuring programme benefits are clearly baselined, measurable, and tracked against approved targets.
* Financial Management & Control: Maintain a consolidated view of portfolio budget, forecast, and actuals as the single source of truth for financial performance.
* Continuous Improvement: Champion best‐practice use of PMO tools and methodologies, assess emerging technologies including AI, and capture lessons learned to continuously improve portfolio visibility and decision‐making.
What we're looking for
* 10+ years of progressive experience in PMO functions, multi‐project governance, or management consulting across complex, cross‐functional programs.
* Bachelor's degree in business, operations, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Deep expertise in PMO fundamentals and artifacts (integrated plans, RAID/RAAIDD, baselines, financials, benefits) and in designing and running PMO operating models.
* Strong data fluency: build automated, executive‐ready reports and dashboards in Excel/Google Sheets and Power BI/Tableau; adept at forecasting, variance analysis, and benefits tracking.
* Proficient with MS Project, Planner, SharePoint/OneDrive, PowerPoint; familiarity with collaboration suites (Teams); proven ability to standardise tooling and drive adoption.
What you'll gain
* The opportunity to work with leading organisations and cutting‐edge technology that challenge and expand your expertise.
* Flexibility means trusting you to choose when, where, and how you work—balancing what's best for you, your team, and your clients to grow and thrive together.
* Clear paths for career progression supported by continuous learning and leadership development.
* Generous leave entitlements to support your work‐life balance - including floating public holidays, birthday leave and ability to purchase additional leave on top of your four weeks.
* A world‐class parental leave policy offering up to 26 weeks of leave for caregivers, supporting your family and personal life.
