Demand Planner/Analyst

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Demand Planner to join a high-performing supply chain team within a global food manufacturing organization. This business operates across the full supply chain, from sourcing and production through to distribution, delivering premium food products to customers around the world.
This role plays a critical part in aligning customer demand with production supply across both short and long-term planning horizons. Working closely with Sales, Production Planning, Logistics and Procurement, you will ensure accurate forecasting, optimal inventory levels, and proactive demand planning to support operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
The role reports to the National Demand Planning Manager; you will be responsible for ensuring sales order demand is accurately aligned with the production supply plan while maintaining optimal stock levels and forward planning visibility.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing demand planning processes, tools, and meeting cadence to ensure alignment between sales demand and production supply
* Maintaining sales order demand accuracy and ensuring alignment with production plans, warehouse capacity and shipping constraints
* Supporting forward sales planning and working closely with stakeholders to determine future demand requirements
* Planning and managing Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) across sites to ensure timely product distribution
* Reviewing inventory and production plans to support forward shipment scheduling
* Proactively managing unsold, unallocated, or slow-moving stock in collaboration with Sales and Demand Fulfilment teams
* Developing and maintaining forecasts for production input materials and communicating supply requirements to Procurement
* Providing accurate and timely planning insights to support operational and commercial decision-making
* Collaborating closely with Sales, Production, Logistics and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment of planning activities with business objectives
* Driving problem-solving initiatives to address demand and supply misalignment
About You
You are a highly analytical and commercially aware Demand Planner who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing or supply chain environment. You enjoy working cross-functionally and are confident engaging with multiple stakeholders to drive planning outcomes.
Key skills and experience include:
* Demonstrated experience in demand planning, supply planning or production planning within a complex supply chain environment
* Strong forecasting and analytical capability with the ability to interpret large data sets
* Experience working within manufacturing or production environments and understanding operational constraintsStrong stakeholder engagement skills and experience working closely with Sales teams
* Experience using planning systems, ERP platforms and data analysis tools
* Ability to proactively identify risks, solve problems and drive alignment across teams
* Experience in food manufacturing or protein production industries will be highly regarded
