Market Stall Co is a leader in flat packable and purpose built timber based infrastructure. We specialise in retail and event displays, custom builds, and modular hire solutions. Based in Melbourne, we ship Australia wide and are proud to be an Australian manufacture with a product range exceeding 200 unique, high quality designs.
Our pieces are primarily made from custom finished pine, plywood, MDF, coated plywoods and Australian hardwood. With a growing production team, no two days are the same, from standard product runs and orders, through to high end custom builds for well known brands.
About the Role
We are looking for a like minded individual to join our tight knit team. You will be an experienced CNC Programmer & Machinist who can take pride in programming, operating and maintaining our CNC machinery to deliver precision cut components for both our standard range and our bespoke builds.
You will enjoy being hands on, bringing a problem solving mindset to the workshop floor, and having a can do attitude that keeps things moving. From time to time you will pitch in on product assembly, finishing, or even heading out on site to see the projects you have programmed come to life.

Main Tasks Will Include:
- Programming and operating CNC machines for timber based production
- Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and job specifications
- Preparing, loading and setting up materials for machining
- Running jobs efficiently to meet production timelines
- Inspecting components for accuracy and quality assurance
- Maintaining CNC machines and tools to ensure optimal performance
- Assisting with the assembly and finishing of products when required
- Supporting and sharing knowledge with junior team members
- Contributing to general workshop duties and installations when needed
Skills and Experience
- Trade qualification in cabinetmaking, joinery, CNC machining or related field
- 2+ years experience as a CNC Programmer & Machinist (timber based production preferred)
- Proficiency in CNC programming software (experience with Mozaik highly regarded)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Must be physically capable of manual handling (for example, moving full sheets of plywood)
- Previous experience working in a small team environment
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and good communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a great team culture
- Valid Driver’s Licence
