The Cancer Ambulatory Service offers a comprehensive range of services to patients with a diagnosis of cancer.
* A 16-chair/bed Day Therapy Unit providing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive therapies.
* An outpatient clinic area delivering care to patients with a diagnosis of cancer and palliative care needs.
* A specialised pharmacy dedicated to serving the specific cohort of patients within this service.
* A team of Allied Health professionals supporting patient care.
Cohort of clients:
* Medical Oncology
* Haematology
* Radiation Oncology
* Specialist Palliative Care
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Facilitator to join our team.
* Demonstrate expertise in areas relevant to haematology, radiation oncology, and medical oncology nursing.
* Maintain high levels of practical skills for treatment delivery.
* Apply adult teaching principles to clinical education and training initiatives.
* Record staff competencies and education participation accurately.
* Exhibit exceptional interpersonal and communication skills supporting cancer care clinical education and training.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement procedures, policies, regulations, and standards impacting the position.
2. Comply with contemporary Human Resource Management requirements and practices.
3. Support Workplace Health and Safety and Anti-discrimination policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* A relevant postgraduate certificate or diploma is an expectation.
