Overview

Lead the Future of Strategy, Insights and Communications — Are you a visionary leader ready to make a real impact? This is your chance to establish a new, enterprise-wide Strategy & Insights function — driving government priorities and strengthening our department's influence across government, stakeholders, and the communities we serve. If you thrive in dynamic environments and bring expertise in strategy, communications, and stakeholder engagement, we want you to join us as Executive Director, Strategy, Insights and Communications in shaping Queensland's future. The role — This section outlines the responsibilities and expectations for the successful candidate.


Responsibilities

* Develop and oversee the department\'s strategy function with a future-focused approach.
* Provide strategic advice to the Director-General and Executive Leadership Team on key issues impacting portfolio priorities and stakeholder engagement.
* Lead innovative media and communication strategies, ensuring alignment with government objectives and commitments.
* Manage issues and reputational risks, including crisis communication obligations.
* Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment that values diversity and inclusivity.
