About the role
As our Industrial Designer, you'll be the bridge between a creative spark and a physical reality that actually works, on time, on budget.
You'll lead projects from ideation and 3D rendering through to technical production drawings and when the job demands it, hands-on installation. You'll bring deep retail knowledge, technical mastery, and creative ambition to every brief, while helping set the standard for what great structural design looks like at Scooter.
What you'll be responsible for
* Leading ideation from brief to concept by iterating with agility using AI tools, SolidWorks, Keyshot, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
* Designing bespoke shopper marketing displays including FSDUs, CDUs, and permanent fixtures that stop people in their tracks and drive measurable retail performance.
* Developing high-quality 3D renderings and full technical production drawings that enable accurate quoting, manufacturing, and retailer compliance submission.
* Championing sustainable design by specifying eco-friendly materials and clever engineering solutions that reduce waste.
* Applying deep knowledge of Australian retail specs across FMCG, Electrical, Hardware, and Pharmacy to ensure every design is shelf-ready and compliant.
* Getting hands-on with prototypes, attend site visits and installations seeing the work through from studio to shelf.
* Collaborating with account service and creative teams to deliver solutions that are both strategically sound and creatively breakthrough.
About you
* 6+ years designing for the Australian retail landscape, with genuine expertise across major channels and retailer environments.
* Expert-level skills in SolidWorks and Keyshot, with strong Adobe Creative Suite across the board.
* You actively enjoy using AI for conceptual creative and visualisation, and you know how to make it work within a fast-paced agency workflow.
* Passionate about sustainable materials and manufacturing, and able to bring that thinking to every brief.
* You want to win awards and do great work, but you want to have fun with the team while doing it.
* Happy to jump in on a prototype or an install when the pressure is on.
* Tertiary qualification in Industrial Design or related discipline (preferred).
* Current driver's licence and own car available for work.
