To be successful for this role, you will have / be :
* Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
* Completed a Diploma in Nursing
* Medically Endorsed (s / c, IM, enteral, topical routes) in addition to base qualification
* A minimum of 2 years nursing experience, including 12 months mental health experience in a mental health clinical setting
* Demonstrated understanding of working with mental health consumers, including appropriate supports, therapeutic engagement, assessment and evidence-based interventions
* Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014
* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work a 7 day a week rotating roster (AM, PM & Nights)
* Possess excellent clinical skills

The Western Inpatient Psychiatric Unit (WIPU) are looking for Psychiatric Enrolled Nurses who are passionate about women's health. WIPU is a dedicated women's-only adult acute inpatient unit based at Footscray, offering women who are experiencing severe mental ill health, a trauma-informed and recovery-focused, individually tailored experience to care.

St Albans Community Care Unit is a 10-unit complex accommodating 20 beds, with 24-hour nursing care support. It provides recovery-focused rehabilitation in a community residential setting, to consumers who typically have multiple and complex needs. The aim is to increase individual's psychosocial independence through a variety of person-centred programs to develop daily living skills.
The Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, recovery-orientated care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Working in a multidisciplinary team, the PENprovides nursing interventions- including medication administration, risk assessment, therapeutic engagement and discharged planning.
