Responsibilities
* As a Psychologist, you'll make a positive impact by working as part of a multidisciplinary team within a health centre setting, supporting the diverse mental health needs of military members.
* Management of crisis presentations, risk assessment and risk management planning.
* Support ADF Members with their initial intake and assessment with flexibility to accommodate presenting need.
* Case formulation and treatment planning.
* Programmatic treatment interventions.
* Care coordination.
* Group psycho-education.
Qualifications
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based \"Focussed Psychological Strategies\" as defined under the Medicare Schedule.
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
* Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).
* Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 (desirable).
Requirements & Additional Information
* You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
* You don't need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
