Quality Assurance Quality Control Coordinator
CPC Engineering, with over 50 years of experience in the Mining Sector and 100% Western Australian ownership, is seeking a QAQC Coordinator for ongoing projects in the Goldfields. The role offers an $8,000 relocation allowance for candidates not based in Kalgoorlie.
Role:
The QAQC Coordinator will assist the Workshop Supervisor in executing all workshop QAQC activities, including material receipt, fabrication, dispatch, and post-work requirements. The role demands a customer-focused, solution-oriented approach to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Education and Experience:
* Secondary education, preferably to Year 12, or trade qualifications.
* At least 5 years of post-trade experience in Metal Fabrication.
* Strong background in workshop fabrication of structural steel, heavy plate work, and piping.
* Formal QAQC qualifications are preferred but not essential.
* Experience with QAQC documentation and requirements.
Skills and Abilities:
* Must hold at least a Certificate 10 Welding Inspector qualification.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and focus on solutions.
* Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
* Team-oriented with a flexible, hands-on approach.
* High work ethic and passion for quality assurance and control.
* Proficiency in MS Office and good understanding of fabrication drawings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and submit project deliverables such as ITPs and MDRs.
* Maintain fabrication checklists and develop NDT requests and weld maps.
* Coordinate client inspections and perform fabrication checks before and after welding.
* Maintain welder qualifications and perform paint inspections.
* Compile and manage relevant documentation, including incident reports and incoming material checks.
* Ensure all work complies with quality standards and client requirements.
