The Role
Based at our Townsville Air Separation Unit (ASU), you will be responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the plant and its associated equipment. You'll work across plant operations, maintenance coordination and site compliance, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
Due to the nature of ASU operations, this role requires flexibility to support and participate in after-hours on-call duties.
What you will enjoy doing
* Operate and monitor ASU plant equipment, including plant start-ups and restarts, instrument calibrations, plant logging and routine maintenance
* Coordinate site activities, including contractor supervision and issuing permits to work
* Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality standards at all times
* Plan, perform and supervise site maintenance activities, including cost control
* Support plant reliability, optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
* This role requires some after hours on call duties (availability after hours in the event of plant operational issues or emergency response scenarios)
What makes you great
* Trade qualification or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Instrumentation (or related discipline)
* Experience working in a continuous process or industrial plant environment
* Strong troubleshooting capability across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control systems
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions
* A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
