As a Marketing & Events Coordinator you will establish and manage effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of business objectives. You will be a marketing all-rounder with a passion managing events.
**Responsibilities of [position;**
**Marketing**
- Exhibitions - identify suitable domestic and international industry exhibitions/events, manage all co-related events and determine the level of exhibition presence to be pursued.
- Manage the corporate exhibition presence, securing floor space, stand design & graphic content, marketing & promotional collateral, personnel arrangements and identify opportunities with strategic partners to value add to the company's exhibition.
- Develop a Communication Strategy for each exhibition/event, including exhibition goals, themes & messages, staff levels, travel & accommodation, budget, co-related events, WHS, current international events and provide a brief to staff prior to attending.
- Develop AV presentations tailored to each exhibition/event.
- Coordinate event evaluation to ensure commercial objectives are met and/or exceeded, with recommendations for continuous improvement included.
- Oversee exhibition and architectural requirements to ensure events maximise the corporate branding and marketing potential.
**Advertising**
- Identify advertising opportunities across a range of industry publications and create event/editorial strategies to support corporate attendance at exhibitions or to related product editorial.
- Design targeted advertising concepts in accordance with the Corporate Style Guide.
**Sponsorships**
- Review industry, community, environment and educational sponsorship opportunities and prepare recommendations to management (to be included in the annual Marketing Communication Plan/Budget).
**General**
- Design and produce brochures, briefs, pull up banners, posters and models in conjunction internal clients and external providers.
- Identification and procurement of promotional products, where applicable.
- Brief, procure and supervise professional photography/videography of equipment and events.
- Manage external service providers including exhibition builders, graphic designers, photo/videographers and advertising representatives as required.
- Ensure external providers comply with and sign NDA's to secure the company's IP.
- Draft and/or review award nominations.
- Liaise with Defence/Government officials to maintain open paths of communication.
- Prepare and update new start induction brief and present the corporate marketing portion of induction training.
- Ensure all staff complete approvals for photography & maintain current library of images
**Public Relations**
- Management of media conferences, releases and distribution lists, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and/or provide input/support to company milestone events
- Coordinate VIP visits and facility tours.
- Liaise with industry journalists regarding interviews, editorial supporting images, proof reading, editorial accuracy etc.
- Keep the Executive and Bids & Contracts Manager informed of CEA's media presence via the intranet.
**Corporate Image**
- Manage the content of documents and compliance with the Corporate Style Guide
- Coordinate special events/activities e.g. appropriate program milestone events.
- Manage (in conjunction with Document Services) the corporate style across all internal and external marketing collateral in both hard and soft copy environment, including internet sites.
**Budget**
- Responsible to the Bids & Contracts Manager for marketing/event budget inputs.
- Review and report on budget vs actual spend
**Skills, Competencies and Qualifications**
- AGSVA clearance level: Baseline.
- Minimum 5 years relevant marketing experience and a tertiary qualification in Marketing or similar discipline.
- Demonstrated event management experience and involvement in a number of the required functions.
- Strong written & oral communication, including proof-reading and confidence with development and delivery of formal presentations, support for tours.
- Demonstrated creative/ design skills and ability to propose layout of documents, develop audio visual content.
- MS Office at Intermediate level, or equivalent.
- Interpersonal skills including negotiation and influencing skills to proactively support liaison requirements.
- Administrative skills including data management and monitoring of budget.
- Ideally some experience with photography.
- Ability to travel to key events as required.
