About the Legal Aid NT:

About the role:
Under the supervision of the Managing Solicitor of the Darwin Criminal Law Practice provide high quality legal advice and representation for legal aid clients charged with criminal offences in a broad range of criminal law areas.
About you:
You are an experienced Senior Solicitor with experience and ability in advocacy including, but not limited to, NT Supreme Court trials or equivalent with a thorough knowledge and understanding of the laws of evidence, criminal law and criminal procedure.
You will have demonstrated ability to deliver high quality complex legal advice, assistance, and representation in a range of criminal law matters and undertake related advocacy, policy, and law reform work.
Crucial in your success in this role is your high level interpersonal and communication and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with staff, external stakeholders, and clients with complex needs and from diverse backgrounds.
