An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably experienced individual to join the REX Engineering Team as a full-time Workshop Technician, based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
Reporting
This position reports to the Engine Shop Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities
* Repair, servicing and maintenance of CT7 Engines & components at the Wagga Wagga workshop.
* Ensuring all maintenance work is performed to the highest standard, in a timely manner and in accordance with the appropriate approved manuals
* Upkeep of workshop & equipment
* Completion of appropriate documentation
* Travel to other ports to assist with on wing engine maintenance
Essential Selection Criteria
* A mechanical trade background
* Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
* A demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
* Ability to work under independently and adhere to deadlines.
* Working knowledge of WHS procedures
* A valid driver's licence
* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
* Reasonable level of computer skills
* Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card and Airside Driving Licence.
* Must be willing to relocate to Wagga Wagga N.S.W.
* High level of visual acuity
Preferred Selection Criteria
* Cert 4 in mechanical trade industry or Cert 4 in Aeroskills-mechanical
* CASA B1.1 Licence
* GE CT7 or other Gas turbine engine experience
* Knowledge of CASA regulations
Conditions
Wage rates and conditions apply as per the Regional Express Aircraft Engineers Agreement.
