This is a Business Development Executive role with Asahi Beverages based in Hobart, TAS, AU Asahi Beverages Role Seniority - mid level More about the Business Development Executive role at Asahi Beverages Business Development Executive (Away From Home) – Hobart Territory: Southern Tasmania Reports To: Regional Sales Manager Division: Asahi Beverages Location: Hobart, TASMANIA Your Impact This role is an exciting opportunity to represent some of Australia’s most loved beverage brands across the southern Tasmanian market. As a Business Development Executive (BDE), you’ll manage a key territory — responsible for growing sales, expanding distribution, and strengthening brand visibility across Away From Home (AFH) customers. You’ll represent a broad portfolio of leading non-alcoholic beverage brands—including Pepsi, Solo, Schweppes, Sunkist, Lipton, Cool Ridge, and Gatorade—while building strong customer relationships and identifying new growth opportunities. You’ll work closely with an experienced Regional Sales Manager and collaborate with a small, close-knit team to deliver exceptional execution standards and drive commercial growth across your customer base. Key Accountabilities Manage a diverse portfolio of customers across multiple channels, including takeaway, petrol and convenience, café and restaurants. Achieve agreed sales targets and standards by consistently meeting or exceeding all key performance indicators (KPIs), including volume, distribution, and account base growth. Identify and secure new business opportunities within your territory, negotiating contracts in line with business KPIs. Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, by understanding key drivers to maximise commercial outcomes. Maintain accurate call data, account information and pipeline management through Salesforce. Actively contribute to Asahi’s strong safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement culture. About You Proven sales experience within FMCG or a related customer-focused industry. Alternatively, strong grocery retail management experience (Coles/Woolworths) with a desire to move into field sales. Confident communicator with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills. Results-driven, organised, and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
