About the role
A Senior User Interface Developer is required to support the delivery of digital customer-facing services across multiple channels. The role sits within a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering connected and accessible digital experiences.
The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining user interface components using modern front-end technologies. The successful candidate will work as part of an Agile team to develop customer-centric web solutions, contribute to UI design and testing activities, and provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on project deliverables.
Key responsibilities
* Support UI analysis and design activities including concept design, test strategies, and user acceptance studies.
* Provide advice to stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business requirements and delivery environments.
* Encourage team communication and support business improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience developing and maintaining customer-focused web applications in Agile environments.
* Experience analysing business requirements and delivering appropriate UI solutions.
* Demonstrated involvement in planning, design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
* Strong skills in:
* Node.js
Highly Desirable
* Experience with:
* Build tools (e.g. NPM, Gulp, Webpack, Vite)
* Testing frameworks (e.g. Jasmine, Jest, Selenium, Cypress)
* REST API
* SQL
* Storybook, Chromatic
* Experience with Squiz Matrix and/or form.io.
* Familiarity with the Single Web Experience (SWE) framework and government design systems.
6 month initial contract with possibly extensions
