About the Role
As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will lead paediatric services across the Wheatbelt region, including outpatient and community settings, with a focus on child development. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals to support families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead paediatric child development service delivery and help shape the future of child health in the region.
- Mentor and inspire other doctors and non-specialist clinicians, building capability and confidence across the team.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and contribute to ongoing medical education.
- Foster a positive, team-focused culture that values excellence and innovation.
- Actively contribute to clinical governance and policy development to strengthen paediatric healthcare across the region.
Candidate Profile
- Eligible for or hold registration by the Medical Board of Australia in Paediatrics and child health.
- Substantial clinical experience in paediatric patient management with a strong focus on developmental paediatrics and child protection.
- Demonstrated effective, compassionate, respectful, and culturally sensitive communication skills.
