Opportunity knocks for an experienced Lead Tailings Engineer, to work on a landmark APAC 'mega project', and at the greenfield stage.
Offering the rare opportunity to be involved prior to construction, and have a hand in the shaping of all Tailings Management, for operational readiness; and thereafter the operational running of a large Tailings facility. There is also an chance to progress into a global Tailings SME role, in the fullness of time, for this large producer; who has in excess of 70, global, tailings storage facilities.
Working on an expat FIFO basis, from any reasonable, global, point of hire, on a 6/3 weeks rotation. Your time split between Perth (Western Australia), Dubai, and Pakistan.
I am particularly interested to hear from experienced Tailings Engineers with large project experience; i.e. operations of significant tonnage, in the 'tens of' millions per annum. And particularly experience of liaison with, and management of, consultants and vendors; prior, and during, the physical construction stage.
The successful candidate will oversee the design, development, and implementation of the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) for a major project currently in the feasibility and early execution phases. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the safe, sustainable, and cost-effective management of tailings in line with global best practices, local regulatory requirements, and the company’s environmental and ESG standards.
