What You’ll Do
As an ICT Support Officer, you’ll help staff and students get the most out of the school’s technology. You’ll be part of a team that keeps day-to-day IT running smoothly while supporting longer-term projects.
Your Role Will Include
- Providing first and second-level onsite IT support to staff and students at two campuses.
- Monitoring the helpdesk and making sure support requests are handled quickly.
- Responding to hardware and software issues in line with service standards.
- Assisting with the rollout of the school’s ICT projects and strategy.
- Keeping users updated while working on their requests.
- Building good relationships with staff and students by being approachable, professional, and responsive.
- Managing your workload so requests are resolved on time.
- Supporting audio-visual systems, phones, bells, and sound equipment across the campuses.
- Following policies on information security, data retention, WHS, and IT asset management.
- Working closely with other ICT team members, school leaders, and external contractors.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping people and has a solid background in IT support. Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar ICT support role, preferably in education or a related environment.
- The ability to juggle competing priorities while delivering great service.
- Experience supporting audio-visual systems and troubleshooting phones, bells, or sound equipment.
- Strong skills with end-user hardware (desktops, laptops, printers) and software (operating systems and applications).
- The ability to guide and train staff and students in a patient, clear way.
- Experience working to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable style.
- Initiative to improve IT processes while meeting the school’s needs.
- A commitment to following organisational policies and procedures.
- (Desirable) Previous experience in a school setting and an understanding of Christian values, though this is not essential.
Why you’ll want to work here
This is a caring and supportive organisation that places people at the centre of what they do.
You’ll be joining a team that values collaboration, growth, accountability, and integrity. Staff are encouraged to share ideas, learn new skills, and make a real difference in education. Versatile work between campuses and ongoing professional development are also part of the package.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
