We’re seeking a seasoned governance and risk professional to step into a key senior role within a dynamic government agency. As the Senior Governance, Risk & Compliance Business Partner, you’ll lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide risk, audit, policy, and compliance frameworks that enable a high-performing, future-focused public sector organisation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, works well in a small team environment (110 FTE), and enjoys being the go-to person for strategic risk, internal audit, and governance advice. You’ll work closely with executive leadership, support Board reporting, and help embed a mature risk culture across the business. Key responsibilities: Lead the coordination of internal audit, strategic risk, and policy development Provide advice and reporting to the Executive and Board on key risk and compliance matters Act as Freedom of Information Officer and oversee Protective Security Framework Review and maintain organisational policies to meet legislative and governance standards Support continuous improvement, capability uplift, and good governance across teams About You: You thrive in environments that require both strategic oversight and attention to detail.
