About the Role
As the Youth Support Coordinator, you will support at‑risk students to overcome barriers to education and training. You will work closely with students, families, and the broader school community to ensure students remain engaged and achieve positive learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Refer at‑risk students to appropriate agencies and support services to address barriers to education and training.
- Provide individual support, case management, and group support to maximise student engagement.
- Develop and foster relationships between the school, students, and their families to support educational engagement.
- Monitor attendance patterns and implement early intervention strategies in line with the school's attendance plan.
- Develop and implement programs to support social and emotional wellbeing, such as social skills or self‑esteem initiatives.
About You
- Experience in providing individual support and case management to young people.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with students, families, and community stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and implement programmes that support social and emotional wellbeing.
- Experience in identifying barriers to education and providing appropriate interventions.
- Organisational skills to maintain accurate records and monitor student progress effectively.
