Job Title: Youth Development Specialist
About the Role
The role of a Youth Officer is to provide supervision and support to young people in custody, ensuring their needs are met on a daily basis. This includes health, hygiene, and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will be able to respond to challenging situations, maintain a safe and secure environment, and proactively avert risk.
Key Responsibilities
This shift-work based role involves supervising young people in custody, ensuring their needs are met, and responding to challenging situations. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, proactively averting risk, and being a positive role model who is willing to reinforce boundaries.
Requirements
* Meet citizenship or residency requirements
* Possession of a minimum Provisional 2 NSW driver's licence
* National Background Police Check
* Medical and Fitness Assessment
* NSW Working with Children Check Clearance
* Possession or willingness to obtain the 'Provide First Aid Certificate' (HLTAID011)
