Executive Director, TAFE Performance, Finance and Infrastructure * Drive strategic initiatives across infrastructure planning and delivery, and financial management * Build strong connections and foster effective collaboration across the department, central agencies, external stakeholders, and Ministers' offices * Senior Executive Service Level 2 (SES-2), Fixed Term up to 5 Years The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) is seeking to appoint an Executive Director to lead our TAFE Performance, Finance and Infrastructure (TPFI) team. This is an excellent opportunity to drive a broad range of strategic initiatives across infrastructure planning and delivery, and financial management. By working in close partnership with both internal and external senior stakeholders, you will build strong connections to achieve the best outcomes for the Victorian TAFE Network (VTN). Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD), the key focus of this executive leadership and management role will be to provide authoritative advice to both the Government and the TAFE Network on TAFE infrastructure and sustainability priorities, enabling improved efficiency and enhanced training quality, and lead key initiatives and projects. The OTCD plays a system leadership and management role for the VTN across Victoria, driving change in the way the VTN responds to government priorities and provides training as a coordinated network, better serving Victorian students, employers and communities. The TPFI team specifically drives improved performance across individual TAFEs and the broader TAFE Network, encompassing a suite of financial and non-financial measures through the Outcomes, Improvement and Accountability Framework, and is responsible for the administration of substantial TAFE funding programs and infrastructure planning and delivery. As the successful candidate, you will have: * demonstrated experience of overseeing the deliverables of a medium-sized, multi-skilled team, as well as managing a significant operating capital/budget * proven ability to provide executive management of performance, operational funding, and infrastructure delivery, ideally within a comparable sector * demonstrated capacity to influence and provide relevant, authoritative, and timely advice and information to senior stakeholders to support enhanced decision making * scope to collaboratively contribute to overall strategic direction, providing oversight of budget and operations in alignment with organisational priorities, while also leading key initiatives and projects.
