Job Description
The Coordinator Traffic and Transport plays a pivotal role in shaping the transport environment within the Local Government Area. Reporting directly to the Assets and Infrastructure directorate, this position is responsible for leading and delivering Council's traffic and transport program.
This program aims to create an efficient, safe, and integrated transport environment that caters to the diverse needs of the community. The Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders, including Councillors, Members of Parliament, state government department representatives, and the community at large.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing strategies to enhance road safety and reduce congestion
* Collaborating with external agencies to secure funding for sustainable transport initiatives
* Providing expert advice on traffic engineering and modelling software
* Managing resources to achieve team and business objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Civil & Environmental Engineering
* Current Class C Drivers Licence
* Construction Induction (White Card)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in local government traffic and/or related fields
* Demonstrated experience in administering the Council Traffic Advisory Committee

* Salary ranging from $127,608.13 - $147,853.30 per annum
* 12% superannuation dependent on skills and experience
* 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance
* Vehicle Allowance of $10,780 per annum
