The Opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our industry-leading Disputes practice group to be based in Sydney on an initial 18-month contract working Monday – Friday, 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm or 9 : 00am to 5 : 30pm.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the practice group’s Legal Assistants to deliver top-notch administrative support to both legal and business services staff within our firm. Your efforts will ensure seamless operations and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the team.
Your day will involve :
* Delivering high quality, accurate work whilst managing deadlines, responding to change, and the competing priorities of all work.
* Scanning, printing, or photocopying relevant documents as and when required by the relevant practice group support colleague or Lawyer.
* Providing ad-hoc support to the practice group such as dealing with incoming mail, expense management, matter management, reporting, booking meeting rooms, amending documents, and any other administrative duties.
* Organising team events.
Skills & experience :
To be successful in this role, you will have :
* 0-12 months administrative experience.
* Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
* Demonstrated enthusiasm and proactivity in the workplace.
* Strong time management and organisational skills; ability to prioritise your time across several busy matters.
* Good written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
You will receive tailored systems and processes training, along with a comprehensive induction program to set you up for success as an Administrative Assistant in the practice group.
We are not currently considering university students for this role.
