As a Exploration Geologist at Cowal, you will support the delivery of high‐impact exploration programs focused on discovering and defining new gold resources. Working within a collaborative Discovery team, you will contribute to target generation, drilling programs, and geological interpretation across both near‐mine and regional tenements.
This role offers strong exposure to exploration strategy, data analysis, and reporting, with a focus on delivering safe, efficient, and well‐executed programs.
About You
You are a motivated and curious geologist with a passion for discovery and a proactive, analytical mindset. You enjoy working across teams, challenging ideas, and contributing to exploration outcomes.
What you will bring
* A degree in Geology or Earth Science
* 2–5+ years of experience in exploration or mining geology
* Experience with drilling, logging, and geological data interpretation
* Exposure to software such as Leapfrog or QGIS
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
* A commitment to safety, environmental standards, and continuous improvement
Responsibilities
Provide geological leadership in target generation, drilling program design, and interpretation across the Cowal mine life extension program; collaborate closely with the Discovery team to deliver high‐impact exploration outcomes while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Roster is 8:6, 12‐hour shifts and is residential to West Wyalong, NSW, or DIDO.
