Location: Parramatta or Sydney. Office attendance required 2 – 3 days per week.
About the Building Commission NSW
Established in December 2023, Building Commission NSW (BCNSW) is the building regulator for the construction industry in New South Wales. The new commission will not only be the industry regulator, but also a collaborator with consumers and industry to ensure standards, capabilities, capacity and resilience continue to be lifted across the sector to deliver quality homes and meet the state's housing targets.

The Digital & Strategic Program team plays a key role in driving the transformation and delivery of the once in a generation reforms, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to delivery customer centric solutions which supports compliance activity associated with building legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
-Support the analysis of existing GLS functionality, workflows, and dependencies to inform decommissioning activities.
-Gather, document, and validate business requirements for the transition from GLS to Licence NSW.
-Assist in mapping processes, identifying impacts, and supporting continuity of business operations across affected portals, transactions, and databases.
-Support data mapping, validation, and migration activities to ensure accurate and reliable transition of data from GLS to Licence NSW.
-Contribute to project artefacts including requirements documents, process maps, impact assessments, and UAT materials.
-Participate in workshops and discussions with SMEs, project teams, and stakeholders to clarify needs and confirm expectations.
-Work with ICT teams and vendors to support solution design and ensure requirements are understood and feasible.
-Support RAID tracking by identifying and monitoring risks, issues, and dependencies.
-Assist with preparing updates and documentation for project governance forums.
-Provide general analytical and project support across the program lifecycle.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
-Experience supporting the delivery of digital or system-focused projects, including working with ICT vendors and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams such as developers, designers, and other analysts.
-Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret information, identify issues, and contribute to the development of practical recommendations.
-Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into plain language for a range of stakeholders.
-Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work to deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
-A working understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Pega, Salesforce) or the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
-A collaborative approach, a positive attitude, and a proactive, solution‑focused mindset.
