ABOUT THE COMPANY. Our client is a respected and fast-growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong reputation across infrastructure, land development, water, and urban development projects throughout Australia. ABOUT THE POSITION. Working closely with experienced technical leaders and project directors, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex flood modelling and stormwater projects across both public and private sector developments. This is a hands-on technical and client-facing role offering genuine career progression into leadership. DUTIES.
* Delivery of flood studies, flood impact assessments, and stormwater management plans
* Hydraulic and hydrologic modelling using industry-standard software
* Preparation of technical reports and design documentation
* Liaising directly with councils, government authorities, developers, and multidisciplinary teams
* Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing technical work
* Contributing to project management, client relationships, and business development initiatives
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
* Relevant Civil Engineering degree qualifications
* 5+ years' experience in flood modelling, drainage, or water engineering
* Strong experience using TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, XP-RAFTS, or similar software
* Experience delivering projects within the Australian consulting environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage projects and build strong stakeholder relationships
* CPEng status or progression toward chartership will be highly regarded
