Security Partner Manager
* Service NSW Clerk Grade 11/12 $162,296 - $195,248 per annum + super
* 1 x ongoing Full-Time

As the Security Partner Manager, you will collaborate with digital product teams to enhance people, processes, and practices through capability uplift, secure by design practices and implementation of initiatives to ensure security compliance and reduce the cyber risk to the citizen and Service NSW.
We are seeking a hands‐on technical leader with broad experience across digital technologies, capable of communicating with authority, earning the respect of subject matter experts, and leading deep‐dive discussions across application development domains.
Responsibilities will include:
* · Develop high‐level architecture diagrams, process sequence diagrams, and data flows to improve visibility of product architecture
* · Conduct thorough threat modelling exercises to identify and assess potential security risks
* · Prioritise and address identified risk areas in collaboration with stakeholders
* · Identify opportunities to enhance security integration across the portfolio
* · Contribute to the collection, analysis, and presentation of metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate portfolio performance
The security partners are a pivotal role in cyber, acting as the conduit for our digital colleagues, ensuring that communication and collaboration across teams are seamless and efficient.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Lead and actively participate in agile delivery teams, applying agile principles in practice
* Bring hands on experience in software application development, supported by substantial cyber security expertise
* Advise and partner with Principals and Heads of Engineering on cyber security and technology decisions
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights
* Have practical experience in threat modelling, including facilitating workshops and analysing the threat landscape to inform and prioritise actions
* Act as a trusted advisor and pillar of knowledge across the digital platform, supporting engineers, architects, and data analysts from junior to senior levels
* Be proactive, self driven, and motivated by continuous learning in modern development practices
Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $162296 base plus superannuation
