The New Head of Department is a pivotal role within our school community, responsible for shaping the English curriculum and fostering a love of learning in students.


About the Position

We are seeking an inspirational leader who can articulate a clear vision and drive innovative approaches to education. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing curriculum programs that meet the needs of diverse learners.


Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop and maintain an English curriculum program that aligns with best practice in literacy development and fosters a curious mindset among students.
* Implement initiatives and project delivery to enhance student outcomes and drive school improvement.
* Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues, parents and guardians to promote a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
* Lead and manage a team of staff to ensure effective curriculum implementation and teacher support.

* You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advise and liaise across all levels of the organization.
* You are committed to ongoing professional learning and have a high degree of technical knowledge in education.
* You have a proven ability to work collaboratively with others and lead by example, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and empathy.
