About Townsville Community Learning Centre - A State Special School TCLC is a state special school catering for students from Prep to Year 12 who have a verified Intellectual Disability. At TCLC we pride ourselves on providing rich, engaging learning experiences for all of our students. Students from Prep to year 10 access the Australian Curriculum in all key learning areas. The school has a comprehensive Whole-School Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Framework (WSCARF). All students in P-10 have Individual Curriculum Plans aligned to the WSCARF. Students in years 11 and 12 have access to the Guidelines for Individual Learning (GIL), ASDAN courses and Certificate courses. All students graduate with a Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA). About the Role This is a unique opportunity to join Townsville Community Learning Centre - A State Special School. TCLC provides inclusive educational programs for 210 young people with a disability between Prep to Year 12. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented administration officer to join our team. The successful candidate will perform a range of administrative and support services essential for the smooth operation of the school. This position requires exceptional organisational skills, a strong understanding of administrative processes, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Manage reception duties, including handling telephone and counter enquiries, arranging appointments, and managing correspondence. Maintain accurate school records, including incident reports, student admissions, enrolments, and departures. Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and email communications. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the OneSchool system. Demonstrate efficient multitasking and time management skills. Display a proven ability to work harmoniously within a team environment. Knowledge of OneSchool is preferred. Provide confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Principal/Deputy Principals Facilities management: Liaising with external contractors, scheduling and managing maintenance activities; Implementing and monitoring process and policy for the issue of school keys to staff, hirers and community users; Maintenance of buildings and grounds; management of Work Area Access Permits (WAAP) for all contractors on school grounds. Other duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Principal and Business Manager.
