Job Overview
The Team Lead role involves leading a multi-disciplinary team and ensuring high-quality services to young offenders, their families, and victims.
Main Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate cultural competence to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with human rights principles and supports community partnerships.
* Provide supervision on evidence-based practices to reduce re-offending, including case management frameworks, risk assessment tools, and restorative justice.
* Allocate, prioritize, and quality assure tasks according to departmental procedures and delegations.
* Participate in professional development and maintain knowledge of contemporary practices in working with young people who offend.
* Oversee suicide risk management and provide timely advice on complex matters.
* Contribute to strategic planning, reviews, and key decision-making as part of the youth justice service centre team.
* Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate cooperation on case-related matters.
* Assist in identifying trends and evaluating client outcomes for coordinated local service delivery.
* Provide ongoing recruitment, selection, and culturally appropriate supervision and leadership to staff.
